I should explain.
A) The comic is not dead.
B) I was seriously burnt out.
I work full time, 40 hours a week. At my peak, I also put about 20-30 hours a week in the comic and site maintenance. This creates a scenario where I start to rebel against my own personal goals and constraints and I ultimately have to take a break in order to regain my passion for this great little hobby of mine.
I'm sorry I never posted anything to that effect, but that's on me. I want to complete this story, and I fully intend to.
Pages will resume on Tuesday the 16th, if everything goes as planned. Updates will fall to two a week to hopefully prevent the sort of burnout that keeps me from creating pages for a month at a time. This should also allow me to improve the quality of the pages that get produced without causing a sudden drop in sanity (or personal life).
But yea, I'm coming back. Isaac is coming back.

Take your time! It helps just knowing that you haven't given up. My concern was that this was going to fade away unfinished...and given what's already here and the potential it still has, I just didn't want to see that happen.
ReplyDeleteTwo a week, one a week...one every two weeks? Heck, as long as we know you haven't given up, you can be sure that some (most) of us will continue to come back to see what greatness you've taken the time to give us. Don't give up, and you'll still have your following!

ReplyDeleteI love what you've done with REAPER 7 so far, and I can't wait to see what happens next, especially with these revelations about Isaac's past. But take as much time as you need and go at whatever pace you need. I'm just excited that we'll finally get to find out what that symbol on Isaac's scythe (?) means. XD
Thanks for the support. I'm going to try to stick to two a week because I do want the story to move forward with some sort of pace. There may be weeks where only one page is feasible, and I'll post something to that effect, when it happens.
